Molly's Bar is located in an old fisherman's house in the narrow street at the entrance to picturesque Molivos Harbour.  The bar is open every evening during the main holiday season (end April to mid October) for drinks, cocktails, coffee and bar snacks.
Our
wide balcony offers views of the harbour, across the bay, and up across the rooftops of the village to the fine Byzantine castle!
We have made our home here in Greece, in one of the most beautiful harbour villages in the Aegean. Please visit us when you're on holiday, for  drinks, information, a laugh and a chat!

The Island of Lesvos
The island of Lesvos is located in the Northeastern Aegean, tucked close to the coastline of Turkey. The third largest island in Greece, Lesvos is an island of contrasts, from the dramatic volcanic terrain in the west to the rolling green olive groves in the east. Whilst we now have the convenience of charter flights bringing holidaymakers in the summer months, the island remains quite unspoilt, providing ample opportunity for those wishing to explore the 'real' Greece. There are numerous beautiful sandy beaches on the island, ancient sites dating back thousands of years, churches & monasteries of unequalled splendour, and we even have our very own petrified forest! Up in the Northeastern corner of the island three coastal villages lie close together; Molivos, Petra & Anaxos. All three become 'resort' towns in the summer months, yet retain their traditional Greek charm, and this is especially true of Molivos.
Molivos
Molivos has the appearance of a fairytale fishing village, topped by the substantial remains of a fine Byzantine castle, beneath which traditional stone houses, and cobbled streets tumble down to a picture postcard harbour. The main market street (or agora) is canopied with wisteria, and features shops offering everything from tourist trinkets to local crafts and fine (& unique) jewellery.
There is an abundance of restaurants & tavernas in the village, to suit all tastes & budgets; you can eat anything from fresh locally caught fish, local specialities, and even international cuisine! Nightlife is typified by open-air cafes & just a few laid-back bars. The harbour area where Molly's is located, is without doubt the most popular place to spend a relaxing and fun evening.
Associations with artistic pursuits date back many, many years, encouraging artists, painters & poets to visit and work in the area. Certainly, Molivos consistently attracts non-mainstream, even bohemian visitors; there are various retreats nearby, yoga centres, and the naturally therapeutic waters of the hot springs in nearby Eftalou are perfect for communing with nature! It is no wonder that the island has for many years attracted gay & lesbian visitors, not least because of the natural culture of tolerance displayed by the local people. After all, the famed poetess, Sappho, was born in Eressos, on the southwest coast of the island.
